Steve Gagnon makes his home in the Cereal Capital of the World, Battle Creek, Michigan where he has lived most of his life. Steve’s interest and love of music developed as a child when he began to study guitar. In the 1980’s, Steve met bass player Mark DeShong. Steve & Mark formed the band “Ontray”, a rock-n-roll, “hair band” in which Steve played guitar and was the lead singer. They also wrote and produced the 1988 release, Ontray “C’mon Taste It”.

In the 1990’s, Upon prompting from now technical director, Roger South, Steve turned his musical talents to theater where he starred as Jesus in the rock musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” and portrayed the Pharaoh in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. Steve’s career as an Elvis impersonator began after “Joseph” when people began approaching him to entertain as Elvis at parties and special events.

In 1999, Steve decided to take this “Impersonation Thing” to a new level. Steve drew upon the best talent from his theatre and rock-n-roll past to form what is now “The Big E” show. “The Big E” features the hard rocking “TCE Band”, the go-go boot clad female back-up singers know as “The Sweet Emotions” and the “men in black” entourage, known as, the “Memphis Mob”.
